Leicestershire Youth & Justice Service is an ambitious, vibrant and forward-thinking service working in an environment focused on supporting children towards their brighter futures. We are committed to Child First approaches and are strong in our advocacy for children.

The Youth & Justice Service is a dedicated service for children aged 11+ who need support. We offer a wide range of non-statutory and statutory interventions to children who are experiencing difficulties and challenges where support cannot be provided by universal services alone. We have strong relationships with wider services & partnerships supporting children and their families to ensure that we can jointly deliver the best possible support and care.

About The Role

This is an exciting role within Youth Justice, combining the case management of child victims of youth crime with direct work alongside children and young people completing Reparation as part of their Court Orders.

You will work directly with children and young people who have experienced harm, ensuring their voices are heard, their views inform service delivery, and they receive timely and appropriate support to help them recover and build resilience. You will manage a caseload of child victims, carrying out assessments, developing support plans, and delivering interventions that reflect their individual needs and circumstances.

Alongside this, you will support children and young people subject to Court Orders to complete meaningful Reparation activities within their communities. Through a restorative and child-centred approach, you will help children understand the impact of their actions, make positive contributions to their local communities, and develop skills, confidence, and a sense of responsibility. Reparation activities should reflect the voices of children, victims, and communities, creating opportunities to repair harm and promote positive outcomes for all involved.

The role requires someone who can build strong, trusting relationships, work creatively and flexibly, and apply restorative approaches and youth work values in their day-to-day practice. You will work collaboratively with children, families, victims, community groups, and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes while ensuring that safeguarding and wellbeing remain at the heart of all interventions.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about empowering children, amplifying their voices, supporting victims, and helping young people make positive changes that benefit themselves and their communities.

An enhanced with barred list DBS check is required for this post.
