About WeArisma

WeArisma is a UK-based social and cultural intelligence platform. We detect brand content that nobody tagged, across video, audio and image, so brands see the full picture of how they show up online, not just the posts that mention them.

Our clients include Gucci, Kering, Campari, L'Occitane and Shiseido, alongside financial institutions and sports and media organisations. With our relaunch as WeArisma.ai and our AI agent, Aura, we are moving from dashboards to answers built around each client's questions.

The role

You are the engineer who turns a client conversation into something working by the end of the week. You sit with our sales team and our clients, understand the decision they are trying to make, and build the prototype that answers it, combining their data with ours.

This is not a pre-sales advisory role. You write real code: data pipelines, AI agent workflows and lightweight interfaces. The best prototypes you build become repeatable products, so you also feed what you learn back to our product and engineering team.

What you'll do

  • Build prototypes with sales. Join discovery calls and demos, then turn a prospect's question into a working proof of concept within days, not months.
  • Work directly with clients. Sit with brand, insights and marketing teams to map their workflows and design the views, reports and agent workflows they actually need.
  • Combine client data with ours. Connect client sources (sales, CRM, campaign or first-party data) with WeArisma's social and content data, and make the joined result reliable and explainable.
  • Validate signals. Prototype analyses that test whether our social and cultural signals hold up: correlations between datasets, lead–lag tests and, for financial institutions, backtests against equity pricing.
  • Configure and extend Aura. Shape our AI agent for each client's use case: prompts, tools, data connections and evaluation of output quality.
  • Ship lightweight UIs. Build dashboards, internal tools and client-facing interfaces quickly, using AI coding tools to move fast without cutting corners.
  • Turn one-offs into product. Spot patterns across clients, document what worked and hand repeatable pieces to product and engineering.
  • Support pilots through to contract. Own the technical side of pilots and help sales prove value with clear before-and-after evidence.

What you'll bring

  • Practical experience building tools, automations or data projects with Python and SQL, whether through work, personal projects, open source or self-directed learning. You can explain what you built, test and debug it, and show how it solved a real problem. No specific degree or fixed number of years is required. We’ll train you on the client-facing side.
  • Comfort building front ends in TypeScript or JavaScript (React or similar), even if they are rough at first.
  • Real experience wrangling messy data: APIs, joins across sources, cleaning and validating before anyone sees a number.
  • Hands-on work with LLMs: building agents or workflows, retrieval, prompt design and checking output quality.
  • Comfort talking to clients, or a real appetite to build it. You ask good questions and can explain technical trade-offs in plain English.
  • A bias to ship. You would rather show a working prototype on Friday than a perfect spec next month.
  • Good judgement on scope: knowing what to build for a demo and what needs to be done properly.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a forward deployed, solutions engineering or technical consulting role.
  • Experience working with financial institutions, ideally backtesting alternative data signals against equity pricing (for example, testing whether brand or social signals lead share price moves or earnings).
  • Background in marketing, social media, consumer brands or retail data.
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch, MongoDB or similar data stores.
  • Experience with MCP or connecting AI agents to external tools and data.
  • Exposure to computer vision, audio or other multimodal AI.

How we work and what we offer

We are a small team, so your work reaches clients quickly and you see the impact directly. You will work across sales, product and engineering, and you will have a real say in what we build next. We will invest in your growth, with mentoring from our product and engineering leads and a clear path to a senior role as the team grows.

  • Direct exposure to global brands and their hardest data questions
  • Freedom to choose the tools that make you fastest, including AI coding agents.
  • 25 days annual leave in addition to public holidays
  • Health and Dental insurance
  • Hybrid co-working space - 2 days London, remainder remote
  • Monthly coaching session and team lunch / dinner
