Airfield Transport Officer

The Airfield Transport Officer plays a critical role in supporting safe and efficient airfield operations at Heathrow. Working as part of a frontline operational team, you will operate specialist vehicles, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with airfield safety procedures. This is a fully onsite role operating on a 4-on-4-off shift pattern, requiring a strong safety focus, excellent teamwork, and experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Operate airfield transport vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with operational procedures and regulations.  
• Conduct routine vehicle, equipment, and operational inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. 
• Support day-to-day airfield operations while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety. 
• Work closely with operational colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of airfield services. 
• Identify and report hazards, incidents, and operational risks, taking appropriate action where required. 
• Maintain accurate operational records and adhere to all airport security, compliance, and airside requirements.

• Proven experience operating vehicles in a safety-critical or operational environment. 
• Full UK driving licence, with LGV licence highly desirable. 
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements. 
• Experience conducting inspections and following operational procedures. 
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive and responsible approach to work.
