About The Role

As an Analog Design Engineer Intern at Analog Devices (ADI), you will work alongside experienced engineers on the design, simulation, and characterization of high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs). You will contribute to the development of circuits such as amplifiers, filters, data converters, and clocking solutions, while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard design and simulation tools including Cadence and SPICE.

In this role, you will support circuit design, simulation, layout, silicon validation, and laboratory testing activities, developing practical skills across the full IC development lifecycle. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to learn from industry experts and contribute to cutting-edge semiconductor products used in a wide range of applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, simulation, and verification of analog and mixed-signal circuits, including amplifiers, filters, and data converters.
  • Use industry-standard simulation tools such as SPICE and Cadence to analyse circuit performance and validate design concepts.
  • Support IC layout activities with a focus on performance, matching, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Perform laboratory measurements and characterization using equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to debug design issues, optimize circuit performance, and support silicon bring-up activities.
  • Document design results, test findings, and technical analyses in a clear and structured manner.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Fundamental understanding of analog circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, biasing circuits, and feedback systems.
  • Basic knowledge of mixed-signal IC design principles and the interaction between analog and digital circuitry.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation and modelling using tools such as SPICE or equivalent EDA tools.
  • Understanding of CMOS technologies and semiconductor device fundamentals.
  • Exposure to integrated circuit layout concepts, including matching, parasitic effects, and layout best practices.
