Assistant Team Manager

Could you help change the lives of vulnerable teenagers across County Durham?

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Team Manager to join our specialist ERASE (Exploitation and Missing) Service, helping to protect and support young people at risk of exploitation, missing episodes and harm outside the home.

This is an opportunity to be part of a service at the forefront of adolescent safeguarding, Contextual Safeguarding and Harm Outside the Home practice, working collaboratively with partners to improve safety, reduce risk and create better outcomes for some of our most vulnerable young people.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the leadership and development of our specialist ERASE Service
• Supervising, coaching and developing practitioners to deliver high-quality safeguarding interventions
• Promoting strengths-based, trauma-informed and relationship-based practice
• Managing performance, quality assurance and workload oversight across the team
• Building strong partnerships with Social Care, Police, Education, Health and voluntary sector organisations
• Contributing to innovative approaches that address exploitation, missing episodes and extra-familial harm
• Representing the service at multi-agency meetings and safeguarding forums

Based at The Nest, Nettlesworth, this countywide role offers a hybrid working model, combining office, home and community-based working.
