About The Position

Job Title: Associate, UCITS Fund Operations and Investor Servicing

Employment Type: Exempt - FT

Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid)

GQG Partners is committed to ensuring fund investor operations are dynamically managed to ensure continuous process improvement, risk-management, regulatory adherence, and client/firm goal alignment. To accomplish this objective, GQG is looking for an Associate, UCITS Fund Operations and Investor Servicing who will be accountable for assisting the team in developing, refining, and executing a vision and strategy for investor operations, service, and innovative processes to ensure the organization optimizes its value to clients.

This position will partner closely with key members of the Sales, Client Service, Marketing, Portfolio Operations, Compliance, Finance and Technology teams. This role will span a wide range and be involved in various strategic initiatives as well as executing details required to manage the regulatory activities and fund operations of GQG UCITS Funds.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the 3rd Party Distribution/Platform/Sub-TA reporting, accrual, payment processes.

  • Partner with Sales to review operational aspects of 3rd Party Distributor, Agent, and Platform agreements.
  • Partner with Fund Manager/Transfer Agent to ensure accuracy/completeness in 3rd Party Commission, Platform, Sub-TA and Rebate accrual/payment processes.
  • Investigate anomalies with 3rd Parties to ensure invoiced amounts match what is reported in Transfer Agency register and is not double-counted, etc.
  • Respond to requests from Fund Platforms, Distributors and Data Vendors by completing fund data templates accurately and within deadlines.
  • Participate on UCITS 3rd party intermediary related projects and provide subject-matter-expertise on firm-wide initiatives.

Ensure superior Investor experience when transacting with the Fund.

  • Develop strong understanding of investor onboarding, account maintenance, and subsequent transaction processes.
  • Monitor Salesforce Cases activity to ensure Investor requests are being handled in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure Investor information is accurately entered into Salesforce to support sales reporting and Investor inquiries.
  • Review Investor Rebate calculations for accuracy.
  • Respond to internal and external queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Where possible, provide support to the Sales team with Investor engagement activities.

Support the Fund Operations Director by performing ongoing tasks required to support the regulatory activities and fund operations of the GQG UCITS Fund complex.

  • Maintain current understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standard processes.
  • Establish working relationship with UCITS Service Providers (Fund Manager, Fund Administrator including Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency, Depositary, Data Service Providers, etc.)
  • Understand upstream/downstream processes with internal/external teams to ensure end-to-end processes are working, as expected.
  • Escalate issues/concerns to ensure timely resolution.
  • Identify gaps and develop procedural controls to oversee quality across service providers and internal GQG teams.
  • Review monthly and quarterly reporting of UCITS Investor trades across sales teams and regions
  • Implement regulatory, financial, platform and Investor reporting processes.
  • Provide metrics and exception reports.
  • Ensure GQG revenue/expense activity attributable to the UCITS Fund complex is communicated accurately/timely to GQG Corporate Finance team (including Forecasts/projections).
  • Implement strategic changes (i.e. new fund vehicles, share classes, pricing, etc.)
  • Provide assistance to meet overall team deliverables where additional capacity is needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Finance or Accounting preferred).
  • 5+ years’ experience in UCITS Investor Service/Fund Operations in UCITS asset management industry.
  • Experience working in the Wholesale business channel with fund distributors, intermediaries and platforms in the UK and EMEA.
  • Strong collaboration/Partnership experience with Client Services team and Transfer Agent.
  • Ability to think strategically, assess risks/gaps/opportunities, and recommend solutions.
  • Knowledge of industry data files such as AllFunds, OpenFunds (FE FundInfo), EMT, EPT, Solvency II (TPT), etc.
  • Ability to influence across all areas of the organization and work with all levels of employees effectively.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to be available for meetings across global time zones.
  • Ability to learn and excel at day-to-day responsibilities and contribute to driving process improvement, standardization, and automation.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficient using Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using Salesforce preferred.
