Azure Data Engineer
***Databricks Data Engineer - 3 Month Contract Role - Hybrid - London (UK)***
On behalf of one of our key partners, RED now has a contract opportunity for an Databricks Data Engineer to join a migration to Databricks! The initial contract will be 3 months, with possible extension.
This contract is to start ASAP and will be 2 days on site per week in London, UK.
Responsibilities
The Databricks Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building and optimising data pipelines and data platforms using Databricks, Python and PySpark. The role involves supporting and delivering migrations to Databricks, developing scalable data solutions, transforming and processing large datasets, and working closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable and fit for analytical use. The successful candidate will also contribute to platform improvements, data engineering best practices and data architecture initiatives within a Financial Services environment.
Must have skills
- 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong experience with Databricks.
- Experience migrating to Databricks.
- Experience with Python and Pyspark.
- Experience working in financial services.
- Experience working with technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills with English
