As a Building Surveyor within CCS, you’ll play a key role in shaping the built environment across County Durham. Working client-side, you’ll support a varied portfolio of projects - from new school builds and refurbishments to housing, highways, public realm improvements, and children’s homes.
No two days are the same - you’ll be involved in projects of different size, value and complexity, collaborating with internal services and external partners to deliver high-quality, community-focused outcomes.

You’ll provide high-quality, cost-effective building surveying services, helping to deliver the Council’s property and asset objectives.

- Carry out surveys and inspections
- Manage maintenance & construction projects
- Prepare specs, reports and cost estimates
- Ensure compliance and quality standards
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders
