Leicester, England, United Kingdom Full-time Posted 2 weeks ago
Job Description

The Role

Our Sustainability function is looking for a Carbon & Corporate Reporting Manager to join the department for a nine-month maternity cover position. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, this role is essential for maintaining our corporate reporting compliance and supporting the delivery of the annual Corporate Responsibility (CR) report. At NEXT, we believe that growth allows everyone to evolve, which is why we welcome applications from colleagues seeking part-time working arrangements. The core reporting cycle spans September through April, featuring an interim audit in December and data finalisation in March. What You Will Take On

  • Direct and manage the creation of carbon reporting, guaranteeing precise and prompt data for the ARA, CR report, and external filings.
  • Provide guidance to two direct reports while supporting broader organizational teams and departments.
  • Coordinate and submit required data to auditors and external consultants within established timelines.
  • Collaborate with external partners to maintain systems used for carbon monitoring and analysis.
  • Support our Total Platform Partners—including FatFace, Joules, and Reiss—with their carbon reporting requirements.
  • Work with the Responsible Sourcing team on the carbon reduction roadmap for Scope 3, advising on data collection and measurement.
  • Monitor environmental and regulatory requirements, ensuring organizational awareness of legislation like ESOS, SECR, and TNFD.

What You Will Bring To succeed in this role, you will need significant experience in carbon reporting for large-scale international organisations alongside a comprehensive understanding of reporting frameworks including TCFD, the GHG Protocol, and SECR. Meticulous attention to detail and a willingness to undertake ad hoc travel to other sites are essential.
