Commercial & Industry Intelligence Manager

RWD is looking for an exceptional Commercial & Industry Intelligence Manager to help us better understand our market, our commercial landscape, our opportunities and the information that supports our decisions.

At the heart of this role is curiosity.

We’re looking for someone who wants to understand what is happening across the global yacht industry, which yachts are being built and where, how the yards and broker networks are evolving, how the client and prospective client landscape is developing, where opportunities may be emerging, and what our own commercial history can teach us.

You’ll bring that information together and turn it into clear, useful intelligence that helps RWD make better decisions.

You’ll take ownership of our CRM and commercial information, build a much clearer picture of our pipeline and wider industry network, and ensure valuable knowledge held across the Studio is captured, connected and actively used rather than sitting with individuals or across disconnected systems.

There is also a practical commercial side to the role. You’ll work closely with our Directors and New Clients & Proposals team as opportunities develop, using commercial history, pricing and fee benchmarking to support decision-making and preparing initial design agreements for review and approval.

This is a role for someone who enjoys finding things out, joining dots and creating order from complex information. You’ll need strong analytical and commercial judgement, but equally important is the ability to communicate what you discover simply and explain why it matters.

If you are fascinated by the yacht industry, commercially minded and naturally want to know what is happening, who is involved and what it might mean for RWD, you’ll thrive here.

HOW YOU'LL HELP SHAPE RWD

  • Build and maintain a clear picture of RWD’s commercial pipeline, tracking opportunities, conversion and future workload
  • Develop RWD’s intelligence on the global yacht market, including new builds, fleet activity, yards, brokers, designers, competitors and wider industry trends
  • Build a structured understanding of clients, prospective clients and key industry relationships, connecting relationship history and market intelligence to future opportunities
  • Own RWD’s CRM and commercial data, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and actively used across the Studio
  • Turn market, client and commercial information into concise, decision-ready intelligence for Directors and relevant teams
  • Work closely with New Clients & Proposals to ensure enquiries, opportunities and relationship intelligence are consistently captured and progressed
  • Support commercial decision-making through pricing insight, fee benchmarking and RWD’s commercial history
  • Maintain a strong working understanding of RWD’s design agreements, commercial risks and obligations, preparing initial draft agreements for review and approval
  • Capture commercial learning from proposals and projects, including win/loss analysis and project performance, and apply it to future opportunities
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure client, industry and competitor intelligence informs reputation, positioning and targeted engagement
  • Provide forward-looking analysis to help RWD anticipate opportunities, market changes and future workload
  • Continually improve how RWD captures, connects and uses commercial and industry intelligence
