Licensed sponsor Lincoln Posted 2 days ago

Help build a connected, thriving start-up community

At the University of Lincoln, we believe that strong communities help businesses grow. Sparkhouse and Think Tank are at the heart of our business incubation offer, giving founders and growing businesses the space, support and connections they need to succeed.

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and proactive Community Coordinator to join our Venture Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building a vibrant, collaborative and supportive community for our tenants, partners and University colleagues. Whether you are planning a networking event, creating content that celebrates a tenant’s success, showing a prospective tenant around the centre, or connecting a founder with University expertise, your work will have a direct impact on tenant satisfaction, retention and business growth.

What you will be doing:

As a Community Coordinator, you will

  • Lead the marketing and promotion of our commercial office provision and Venture Development activities, delivering campaigns across social media, the website, newsletters and other channels.
  • Build positive relationships with tenants, founders and partners, acting as a key point of contact and carrying out regular check-ins to gather feedback and identify opportunities.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver a programme of networking events, workshops and community initiatives, and evaluate their success.
  • Manage tenancy enquiries, centre tours and prospecting activity, and coordinate tenant inductions and departures to support our occupancy targets.
  • Use engagement and occupancy data to produce reports and insights, and identify ways to improve our service.

What we are looking for

We are looking for people who are passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience, enjoy bringing people together and take pride in their work. You will be an excellent communicator who can present to a large audience, manage your own workload and priorities, and use your initiative. Experience of supporting start-ups, planning and delivering marketing and events, project delivery and budget management would be an advantage.
