Are you the person who makes compliance feel effortless? We’re looking for an experienced Compliance and Associate Manager to join SmartCo on a 9 month maternity cover contract. You’ll take ownership of compliance across our associate community and be the trusted first point of contact for the consultants who represent us with our clients.
About SmartCo
SmartCo is a UK-based digital transformation consultancy helping organisations get more from technology across Cloud & Infrastructure, Apps & Systems, Data & GenAI, and Cyber & Compliance. We work with clients across multiple countries, and we do it with a people-first culture built on collaboration and open communication.
Our values shape how we work with each other, our clients and our associates:
- Trust: we give people the autonomy to do their best work.

- Supporting IR35, GDPR and AWR requirements, plus internal and client audits
- Maintaining an associate value-add map that captures sales leads and track-to-permanent opportunities
- Improving our compliance processes, templates and guidance so we can scale with confidence
What you’ll bring
- Experience in compliance, associate or contractor management, or operations within a consultancy, recruitment or professional services environment
- A strong understanding of contractor compliance, such as right to work, insurance, data protection and contractual compliance
- Experience managing client-specific compliance frameworks
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people
