CNC Machinist – 5 Axis

We're supporting a leading precision engineering company that delivers high-performance components for the motorsport and Formula 1 sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist with 5-Axis machining expertise to join a highly skilled team working on innovative projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Set up and operate 5-Axis CNC machines to manufacture high-precision components.
- Machine complex parts to strict tolerances and quality standards.
- Work with advanced materials, including carbon fibre.
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure components meet specification.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve machining challenges and improve processes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
- Support offline programming activities where applicable (highly desirable).
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience operating and setting up 5-Axis CNC machines.
- Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
- Experience producing motorsport, aerospace, or other high-precision components.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Offline programming experience is an advantage.

- Competitive hourly rate of £19–£23 per hour.
- 20 days annual leave.
- Four-day working week (Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts).
- Overtime available and paid at 1.5x standard rate.
