Desktop Engineer – Laptop Refresh Project

- Working schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
ESP Global Services is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a laptop refresh project for an enterprise client in Dublin. You will work on-site to image, deploy and hand over new laptops so that users move to their new devices with as little disruption as possible.
This role suits an IT professional with hands-on desktop support experience who is organised, works to deadlines and communicates clearly with both end users and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Image and configure new laptops to the client’s standard build.
- Deploy laptops to end users, including data migration, peripheral setup and user handover.
- Collect, wipe and track legacy devices for return or disposal.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and operating system issues that come up during deployment.
- Update service tickets accurately and on time throughout the deployment process.
- Maintain and update project reports and asset records to track refresh progress.
- Communicate deployment status, risks and blockers to project and business leaders.
- Escalate complex issues to the right internal or external support teams.
- Work to agreed schedules and service level agreements, and deliver a professional, positive user experience.
