At St George's Nursery, we're looking for an experienced early years professional to take the lead within one of our nursery rooms. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ready to build their leadership skills while continuing to make a real difference to children's learning and development.
You'll work closely with the management team to create a positive, engaging environment where children feel secure, supported and excited to learn every day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the day-to-day organisation of your nursery room.
- Supporting and motivating a small team of early years practitioners.
- Building positive relationships with children and families.
- Planning and delivering high-quality learning experiences.
- Monitoring children's progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensuring safeguarding, welfare and EYFS requirements are met.
- Supporting new team members and sharing best practice.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 3 years' experience working in an early years setting.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A positive approach to teamwork and supporting others.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring colleagues is beneficial but not essential.
