ETF Middle Office Associate – Major Hedge Fund – Up to £200k TC
Our client, a highly respected, prestigious global hedge fund, is looking to hire a specialist ETF Operations professional into their London team. This is a newly created position supporting the build-out and launch of a new ETF business, offering significant ownership and exposure from day one.
The role will have a broad remit across the full ETF trade lifecycle, including create/redeem activity, allocations, matching, reconciliations, settlements, fails management and prime broker relationships. The hire will act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, working closely with senior traders and portfolio managers across the European business. Alongside the BAU responsibilities, there will be a significant project and process improvement component, partnering with in-house engineering to enhance operational infrastructure, improve controls and drive automation. The role could suit someone with existing Python, VBA or SQL experience, or someone looking to develop their technical skill set.
Our client is looking for someone with specific experience in ETF trade support, middle office or operations from either the buy-side or sell-side, alongside a proven track record of delivering process improvement, automation or broader operational projects.
This is a crucial first hire for the new business, with first-year total compensation expected to be up to £200k TC. Our client can also offer a guaranteed bonus to compensate for any upcoming bonus that would be forfeited by making the move.
