About The Role

We're seeking an experienced Fabric Technician to join ourteam in Southampton. In this role, you'll deliver planned and reactive buildingfabric maintenance across a professional commercial environment, completing avaried range of repairs and minor works to keep the site safe, presentable andfully operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Completeminor carpentry, basic plumbing, patch repairs, making good and generalbuilding repairs
• Repairand maintain doors, locks, handles, hinges, fixtures, fittings and furniture
• Replaceceiling tiles, floor coverings, sealants and other building fabric items asrequired
• Carryout minor painting, decorating and touch-up works where needed
• Completeroutine inspections, identify defects and take appropriate corrective action
• Supportsmall works, office moves and site improvement tasks when required
• Respondto maintenance requests and complete jobs within agreed timescales
• Liaisewith client representatives and site teams to provide a professional, tidy andcustomer-focused service
• Usethe PDA system to update jobs, record completed works and maintain clearcommunication
• Ensureall work is completed safely and in line with site procedures, risk assessmentsand health and safety requirements

What We're Looking For

• Apractical multi-skilled background with experience in general repairs, minorcarpentry, basic plumbing and making good
• Confidencecarrying out minor painting, decorating, patch repairs and finishing works whenrequired
• Experienceworking in high-profile or client-facing environments
• Goodknowledge of building fabric systems and common maintenance issues
• Agood understanding of health and safety requirements, including working atheight and risk assessments
• Strongattention to detail and pride in completing work to a high standard
• Goodcommunication skills and the ability to build positive relationships withclients and colleagues
• Self-motivated,organised and able to manage workload effectively
• BasicIT skills and confidence using job management systems or PDA devices
