About Moneybox

At Moneybox, our mission is to give everyone the means to get more out of life. We’re guided by our belief that wealth isn’t about the money, it’s about the means to more: more freedom, opportunities, possibilities, and peace of mind.

Moneybox is an award-winning wealth management platform, helping nearly two million people build wealth throughout their lives, whether they're saving and investing, buying their first home, or planning for retirement.

And now Moneybox is building the means to help more people in more ways - through personal financial advice. We believe that great advice should be available to everyone, at every stage of life, and that technology can help us deliver it with the care, clarity and accountability people deserve.

We're building a new kind of advice service from the ground up, and the people who join us now will help shape how millions of people plan for their future.

About the role

As a Financial Advisor in the Moneybox Advice team, you are one of a group of qualified professionals making sure every plan our customers receive is suitable, clear and useful.

The plans themselves are generated by the Advice Engine — your job is to capture the required inputs from the customer, review the generated advice, explain it, and handle the cases that need a human to ensure good customer outcomes are achieved.

You will spend your time across three things: customer conversations (collecting information to provide reliable advice and presenting that advice), QA review of engine-generated plans, and escalations from the support team. You are an expert in building customer connections, the customer's expert voice on what their plan means and what to do next.

What you'll be doing

Customer-facing advice

  • Running video consultations, collecting information & establishing customer goals, walking customers through their plan, answering questions and helping them feel confident about their next steps.
  • Handle escalations from the support team where the conversation crosses the line from guidance into advice — including questions on pension consolidation, drawdown and market volatility.
  • Take responsibility for off-boarding customers who are not suited to the service, doing so with empathy and a clear handover to wider Moneybox support where appropriate.
  • Respond to customers flagged as insistent, doing the right thing for the customer while protecting them and the firm.

Quality assurance

  • Review engine-generated plans against our suitability standards within the agreed SLAs, signing off plans for release.
  • Review flagged customer cases before their plan is released, deciding whether to further fact find, off-ramp or release the plan.
  • Spot patterns in the cases you see and feed them back into House Rules, fact find improvements and Paraplanner training.

Working with the wider team

  • Work closely with Paraplanners who prepare cases, draft suitability content and support you on reviews.
  • Provide technical support to Financial Guides handling customer questions, including coaching on the advice/guidance boundary.
  • Contribute to team learning sessions, sharing what you've seen in cases and helping the team get sharper.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (QCF Level 4) — either completed, or close enough that you can complete within an agreed timeframe.
  • Strong understanding of UK pensions, ISAs, investment products and the tax treatment of each.
  • Experience advising customers, ideally with a mix of retirement and accumulation cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — you can take a technical recommendation and explain it to a non-expert customer without losing them or oversimplifying.
  • Comfortable working with technology, data and a structured advice process — this is not a traditional face-to-face practice.
  • Strong awareness of Consumer Duty and a genuine instinct for good customer outcomes.

Desirable

  • Pension transfer / drawdown qualifications (AF7 or equivalent), or appetite to work towards them.
  • Experience in a digital or scaled-advice environment.
  • Experience working with paraplanners or in a case-prep model.

How you'll work

QA huddles and learning sessions. Customer-facing time is structured around bookable Calendly slots; the rest of your day is QA, escalations and team work. The advice service operates within standard UK business hours at launch.
