About Moneybox

At Moneybox, our mission is to give everyone the means to get more out of life. We’re guided by our belief that wealth isn’t about the money, it’s about the means to more: more freedom, opportunities, possibilities, and peace of mind.

Moneybox is an award-winning wealth management platform, helping nearly two million people build wealth throughout their lives, whether they're saving and investing, buying their first home, or planning for retirement.

And now Moneybox is building the means to help more people in more ways - through personal financial advice. We believe that great advice should be available to everyone, at every stage of life, and that technology can help us deliver it with the care, clarity and accountability people deserve.

We're building a new kind of advice service from the ground up, and the people who join us now will help shape how millions of people plan for their future.

About the role

The Head of Advice leads Moneybox's Financial Adviser team — Senior Financial Advisers and Financial Advisers — acting as 1st line supervisor for the regulated advice team as it scales to support more customers.

You’ll recruit and inspire a team of advisers to deliver a great service to Moneybox customers, responsible for building the right culture and service standards that deliver fantastic customer outcomes. Supporting advisers as they develop from being initially qualified to becoming experienced professionals.

You'll own adviser sign-off, competence and quality standards for the team, working as a Certified Individual under SM&CR: signing off your own advice cases and signing off Financial Adviser and Senior Financial Adviser cases ahead of their own Competent Adviser Status.

This role sits above the Senior Financial Advisers, who manage day-to-day Adviser teams; you take on the Service Quality, Conversion Oversight, T&C, QA and governance layer that lets the advice service scale safely and consistently.

You will report directly to the Director of Advice, working closely with the Head of Proposition and the Senior Coaching & Advice Service Manager across the wider Advice leadership team.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead and oversee the Financial Adviser population end-to-end — from day-to-day people leadership and T&C, through to service quality, customer conversion, case quality and governance, to the team's growth as Moneybox's advice service scales.

Team leadership & competence

  • Line manage the Senior Financial Adviser and Financial Adviser population, overseeing performance, development and career progression.
  • Build and own the T&C scheme for the Adviser team — case sign-off standards, competence records and House Rules — with the Director of Advice holding overall T&C oversight.
  • Act as 1st line supervisor: sign off Financial Adviser and Senior Financial Adviser cases ahead of Competent Adviser Status (CAS), and sign off your own advice cases as a Certified Individual once CAS is achieved.
  • Manage performance against KPIs, coaching individuals and the team as a whole to consistently strong, compliant outcomes.

Quality, sign-off & governance

  • Own QA and case-review standards across the Adviser team, feeding findings into House Rules, training and the wider T&C scheme.
  • Act as senior escalation point for the most complex or sensitive customer cases.
  • Represent the Adviser team in governance forums and contribute to advice strategy, working closely with the Head of Proposition and the Senior Coaching & Advice Service Manager.

Growing the team

  • Support recruitment, onboarding and competence frameworks as the Adviser team scales, partnering with the Director of Advice on workforce planning.

Evolve the advice service - technology & processes

  • Work proactively with the Moneybox product and technology teams to evolve the advice customer experience, both for the customer and the adviser. Make sure the technology is in place to enable advisers to deliver a modern, engaging and efficient customer experience.
  • Build out the processes needed, and source the technology required, for the advice team to deal with more customers, on a more personal basis

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Proven experience as a senior Financial Adviser or supervisory lead in a regulated financial advice environment, with a track record of overseeing case quality and competence.
  • Experience operating as a Certified Individual under SM&CR, with a strong understanding of case sign-off, competence frameworks and T&C schemes.
  • Level 4 qualification in Financial Planning attained
  • Track record of people management — coaching, performance management and career development for Advisers.
  • Strong understanding of Consumer Duty, suitability standards and regulatory expectations in advice delivery.
  • Comfortable representing a team in governance forums and contributing to strategic and product discussions.

Desirable

  • Level 6 qualification in Financial Planning attained (e.g. CII Advanced Diploma including AF6, or LIBF Adv DipFA).
  • Experience holding Competent Supervisor status, or a clear track record of achieving it quickly in a similar role.
  • Experience operating in a digital-first advice model.
  • Background working closely with Paraplanning and Coaching / Advice Coach teams in a cross-functional advice service.
  • Familiarity with AI-supported or technology-enabled advice journeys, and comfortable adapting standards as tools evolve.

How you'll work

Team leadership, case reviews, governance forums and cross-functional work with the wider Advice team.

Expect a regular cadence of 1:1s, QA reviews and case discussions with your team, alongside governance and strategy work with the Director of Advice, Head of Proposition and Senior Coaching & Advice Service Manager.
