Global Email Campaign Manager (12 month Fixed-term Contract)
Job Description
Since launching the world’s first portable wood-pellet pizza oven in 2012, Ooni has grown into an award-winning, multinational company with a product range loved by pizza makers all over the globe. Our mission has always been to design innovative products that spark joy in our customers, and whilst we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, we’re only just getting started. We’re now entering an exciting new chapter in Ooni’s journey.
We are looking for a Global Email Campaign Manager to be the primary planner and implementer of our global CRM campaign schedule across all regions where Ooni operates. This is a 12-month maternity cover role.
This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week from our office in Edinburgh, Scotland.
What you’ll do
- You’ll own Ooni’s global email calendar, executing our campaign rotation so our audience receives regular, high-quality communications that engage, educate and promote our products, recipes and content.
- You’ll work closely with our regional teams to understand local trading priorities, cultural nuances and market needs, maintaining separate priorities where required whilst operating within a consistent global CRM framework.
- You’ll manage customer contact strategy and campaign prioritisation, balancing commercial demand across the business with customer relevance, frequency and engagement.
- You’ll implement, oversee and quality-assure every send, ensuring emails are accessible, well designed and display and track correctly across devices and email clients.
- You’ll coordinate content and design briefs for campaigns, working with our internal creative team and external partners to ensure every email is on-brand and built to a high standard.
- You’ll develop and optimise audience segmentation and personalisation strategies, using customer behaviour, lifecycle stage, product ownership and market data to improve relevance and campaign performance.
- You’ll continually optimise campaigns to improve end-to-end conversion, from click-through to landing page and purchase, using what you learn to shape landing page content and experience with our Ecommerce team.
- You’ll manage and optimise the product feeds that power our email content across multiple markets, using Shopify, Shoptimised and other channel-relevant platforms.
- You’ll own the CRM workstream for new product launches, working closely with Product Marketing, Ecommerce and regional teams to plan and execute product teasers, announcements, launch communications and post-launch follow-up.
- You’ll manage and optimise Ooni’s core lifecycle and automated CRM journeys, including areas such as welcome, browse and basket abandonment, post-purchase, back-in-stock, loyalty, customer surveys and other triggered communications.
- You’ll identify opportunities to develop new automated journeys and improve existing ones, using customer behaviour and performance data to increase engagement, repeat purchase, retention and customer lifetime value.
- You’ll coordinate activity across campaigns, automated journeys and product launches to ensure customers receive a coherent communication experience without unnecessary overlap or competing messages.
- You’ll contribute to our experimentation strategy, running A/B tests, developing clear hypotheses, learning from outcomes and seeking new ways to improve effectiveness.
- You’ll report on CRM performance across engagement, conversion, revenue, ROI, retention and incremental impact, as well as understanding how recipes, editorial content, products and other content categories perform.
- You’ll monitor email deliverability, list health, consent and engagement, working with relevant teams to maintain strong sender reputation and ensure activity follows applicable marketing and privacy requirements.
- You’ll help define and embed CRM and email best practice, including principles, policies and standards for the wider Digital Marketing team.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience in email marketing or CRM, with a track record of managing and executing campaigns across multiple regions.
- Proficiency with Iterable is preferred but not essential, alongside a working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Excellent understanding of email and CRM best practice, including segmentation, targeting, personalisation and lifecycle marketing.
- Experience managing automated and triggered CRM journeys and understanding how they contribute to retention and customer lifetime value.
- Strong experience optimising digital campaigns to improve end-to-end conversion rates and commercial performance.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing requirements and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality content, customer experience and design.
- A solid understanding of ecommerce landing page experience and how onsite journeys affect campaign performance.
- Strong knowledge of performance metrics including CTR, conversion rate, CPA, ROAS, revenue and ROI, and the ability to translate these into clear commercial insight.
- An analytical mindset, with the ability to form hypotheses, interpret data and generate insights that improve performance.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and a proactive, continuous-improvement approach.
- A good understanding of email deliverability, consent management and customer communication best practice.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Ecommerce, Product Marketing, Creative, regional teams and other cross-functional stakeholders.
