Who Are CSL Looking For?
We’re looking for a GTM Operations Manager to own the systems, data, and reporting that marketing and sales both depend on – and to be the person who can say, with numbers people trust, where revenue is coming from and what is holding it back.
This role starts as maternity cover for our Marketing Operations Specialist, so the marketing systems, data, and reporting engine has to keep running from day one. But it is deliberately broader than a like-for-like backfill. CSL has grown fast across multiple countries and integrated seven acquisitions – and the gap we need closing is the different definitions, different systems, and to build a full GTM operations function that supports go-to-market excellence, with an agentic first approach. You will be the first dedicated revenue operations hire, laying the foundations for a function that covers the full funnel.
Over time, the weight of the role shifts. As the marketing operations maternity cover ends, the focus moves towards sales operations – pipeline discipline, forecasting, territory and quota support, and commercial reporting – as part of an evolving revenue operations function. We are being open about that from the start: this is a role that changes shape, and we want someone who finds that interesting rather than unsettling.
You’ll be technical enough to build and troubleshoot, be commercial enough to know which numbers matter, and be curious to quickly adapt to new and evolving technologies. You will also be central to how CSL uses AI across the revenue engine – automating the repetitive, and building the infrastructure that lets the wider team get business intelligence to know which levers to pull to grow revenue.
Duties & Responsibilities
This role will encompass a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:
Revenue Reporting, Forecasting & Insight
- Own end-to-end funnel reporting – from enquiry through to closed won – so marketing, sales, and leadership work from one set of numbers.
- Build and maintain the forecasting process with Sales: pipeline coverage, conversion rates by stage, deal velocity, and forecast accuracy.
- Own attribution and source reporting, and make sure regional and Group reporting reconcile.
- Turn data into insight and recommendations for the CMO and commercial leadership – what to do differently, not just what happened.
- Report on the commercial return of marketing and sales investment, including cost per opportunity and pipeline contribution by channel and region.
Sales Operations & Pipeline
- Own pipeline hygiene and CRM discipline: stage definitions, exit criteria, close dates, and data completeness.
- Own lead lifecycle and routing end to end – definitions, scoring, assignment rules, SLAs, and the handover from marketing into sales – and hold both sides to it.
- Support sales process improvement, including building a revtech roadmap quoting, and improving the operational detail that slows deals down.
- Provide the operational inputs behind territory design, target setting, and quota and commission calculation.
- Partner with Sales leadership on shared process, definitions, and reporting across the funnel.
Marketing Operations (Maternity Cover Period)
- Own the marketing technology stack – administration, integration, adoption, vendor relationships, licences, and cost.
- Own marketing automation build and governance: templates, programmes, scoring, nurture logic, and preference management.
- Support the marketing team with campaign setup, tracking, and quality assurance so activity is measurable from the start.
- Manage deliverability, consent, and compliance across markets, including GDPR obligations.
- Provide the regional marketers and the Senior Marketing Manager with the reporting they need against their pipeline and coverage targets.
Systems, Data & Governance
- Own data quality across CRM and marketing platforms – deduplication, enrichment, segmentation structure, and account and contact hygiene across regions.
- Define and document the data model, naming conventions, and taxonomy that marketing and sales both work to.
- Manage integrations between systems so data flows without manual intervention.
- Bring data from acquisitions and third-party sources into the core platforms cleanly.
- Set and maintain governance so the numbers mean the same thing in every report, in every country.
AI, Automation & the Revenue Brain
- Identify and automate the repetitive operational work across marketing and sales, using AI and workflow tooling where it genuinely saves time.
- Build and maintain the technical infrastructure behind CSL’s central ‘brain’ – the shared, structured store of positioning, messaging, proof points, customer language, and performance data – extending it to cover sales conversations and commercial outcomes.
- Build agents and workflows that let marketing and sales query performance data and reusable content without waiting on a report.
- Use AI-assisted analysis for reporting, anomaly spotting, and post-campaign and post-quarter review, with proper validation before anything is acted on.
- Set practical standards for safe, compliant AI and data use across the commercial team.
Key Skills & Qualifications Sought
- Solid revenue operations, sales operations, or marketing operations experience in a B2B environment – with genuine exposure to both sides of the funnel.
- Hands-on experience administering CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot).
- Strong command of pipeline and funnel metrics, and how commercial performance is actually built from the underlying data.
- Experience supporting a sales forecasting process, and the judgement to know when a forecast is being optimistic.
- Strong data skills – comfortable with data structures, segmentation, deduplication, and reconciliation across systems.
- Experience building dashboards and reporting in BI or AI tools, and explaining the results to non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of GDPR and data compliance across multiple countries.
- Confident building AI-assisted and automated workflows, with sound judgement on data quality, security, and validation.
- Comfortable working with integrations, APIs, or scripting is a strong advantage.
- Credible with sales people – able to hold the line on process and data discipline without losing the room.
- Methodical, precise, and able to bring order to systems and data inherited from multiple sources.
- Comfortable with a role that changes shape, and interested in building a function rather than inheriting one.
How the Role will Evolve:
Months 1–12 – Cover and Foundations
- Full ownership of marketing operations during the maternity cover period: martech stack, marketing automation, campaign operations, data quality, and marketing reporting.
- Establish shared funnel definitions, a single agreed set of revenue metrics, and reporting that marketing and sales both recognise.
- Diagnose and fix the highest-value gaps in sales process and pipeline data – lead handover, opportunity hygiene, and forecast inputs.
- Produce the first integrated revenue reporting pack for the CMO and commercial leadership.
Month 12 Onwards – Integrated GTM/Agentic Operations
- Transition marketing operations back cleanly, with documented process, governance, and reporting.
- Shift the centre of gravity to sales operations: forecasting, pipeline management, territory and quota support, commission inputs, and sales performance reporting.
- Scale the function.
The above should not be viewed as an exhaustive list of skills and/or qualifications but rather CSLs view on the ideal candidate.
