Graduate Product Manager
Our mission is to enable everyone to build wealth.
We're reinventing how trading and investing work by building exceptional products people love.
We move fast, set a high bar, and expect excellence from everyone on the team.
The role
We're looking for exceptional graduates to join Trading 212 as Graduate Product Managers. You'll help shape products that make investing simpler and more accessible, turning complex problems into intuitive experiences.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one. You'll work with engineers, designers and teams across the business to understand client needs, decide what matters most, and take ideas from problem to launch. You'll be expected to question assumptions, get into the details and measure whether what we build actually makes things better.
This is a highly demanding role for exceptionally ambitious people who want to accelerate their career growth. It requires sustained effort, discipline and a commitment to excellence. You'll face difficult problems, high expectations and a steep learning curve.
No prior work experience is required. We're looking for exceptional ability, sound judgment and the drive to turn ideas into results.
What you'll do
- Understand client needs through research, feedback and product data, identifying problems worth solving.
- Turn ambiguous problems into clear proposals, user journeys and product requirements.
- Work closely with designers and engineers to build simple, reliable and intuitive solutions.
- Prioritise improvements by weighing client value, business impact, effort and risk.
- Define success metrics, analyse results and design experiments that help us make better decisions.
- Take ownership of features from discovery through launch and iteration, with support from senior colleagues.
- Spot confusing interactions, unnecessary steps and overlooked details, and drive improvements.
- Use LLMs and prototyping tools to explore ideas, test assumptions and accelerate your work, checking the quality of their output.
What you need to have
- Outstanding academic performance. An achieved First-Class degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, Finance or another highly quantitative subject from a top university, placing you in the top 10% of your cohort.
- Exceptional problem-solving ability. You can bring structure to ambiguous problems, identify root causes and develop simple, practical solutions. You reason from first principles, challenge assumptions and test your conclusions against evidence.
- Uncompromising work ethic. You set demanding standards for yourself and are willing to put in exceptional, sustained effort to meet them. You're ambitious about your growth, embrace difficult challenges and take responsibility for improving quickly. You persevere, follow through on commitments and take pride in delivering excellent work.
- A strong sense of ownership. You take responsibility for outcomes from start to finish. You act without waiting to be asked, anticipate obstacles, raise issues early and stay accountable until the problem is resolved.
- Exceptional analytical reasoning. You work confidently with numbers, distinguish signal from noise and reach defensible conclusions from incomplete information.
- Strong product judgment. You can explain what makes a product excellent, identify where an experience falls short and propose a simpler solution with clear trade-offs.
- Evidence of exceptional initiative. You've taken a demanding idea beyond the brief and produced something tangible through an academic, personal or extracurricular project. You can explain your decisions, what you learned and what you would improve.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication. You can turn a complex problem into a concise, structured explanation and defend your recommendation under questioning.
- Technical fluency. You understand how software products work, can use SQL to answer questions from data, and can build a simple prototype to communicate or test an idea.
- Proficient, critical use of LLMs. You use them effectively for research, analysis and prototyping, recognise their limitations and independently verify important outputs.
- Fast learning and intellectual honesty. You get up to speed quickly, seek demanding feedback and change your mind when the evidence warrants it.
- A strong interest in investing and financial products. You're curious about how they work and how to make them easier for people to understand and use.
- Full-time availability and willingness to work in-office.
Nice to have
- Distinction in a highly competitive academic competition, Olympiad, hackathon or research award.
- A self-directed app, tool or other project that people have chosen to use, with evidence of how you improved it from feedback.
- Strong foundations in statistics, probability and experimental design.
- Ability to code in Python or JavaScript, or create interactive prototypes in Figma.
- A thoughtful understanding of investing products and the trade-offs between simplicity, functionality and client protection.
What we offer
- The chance to help shape products used by millions of investors to build wealth.
- The opportunity for exceptionally fast career growth through demanding challenges, real responsibility and direct feedback, with progression driven by your performance and impact.
- Real ownership, with direct feedback from experienced product, design and engineering colleagues.
- Smart, ambitious, high-performing colleagues who share a common goal.
- An environment where nothing is set in stone and good ideas win.
- Appreciation for your talent and ideas.
- A highly competitive package, including annual bonuses.
