The Vale of Glamorgan Council is seeking an ambitious and dynamic Housing Development Partnership Manager to lead our strategic partnership with Lovell Partnerships and drive the successful delivery of high-quality, sustainable and mixed-tenure housing developments across the Vale.

About The Role

• Pay Details: Grade 11, spinal points 40-43 (£53,051 to £56,293) p.a.
• Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 37 hours per week
• Main Place of Work: Alps Depot and hybrid working including site and home

Description

As Housing Development Partnership Manager, you will lead the delivery of the Council's development partnership programme with Lovell Partnerships, managing key relationships with the Lovell team, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

You will oversee a diverse portfolio of housing developments from inception through to completion, providing strategic direction, commercial oversight and programme management. The role includes responsibility for monitoring performance, managing risks, ensuring compliance with partnership agreements and supporting the delivery of high-quality homes that meet the needs of local communities.

This is a highly influential role that offers the opportunity to shape major housing and regeneration projects and contribute directly to the Council's vision for housing growth and community wellbeing.

About You

You will be a motivated and experienced housing development, regeneration or construction professional with a proven ability to manage complex projects and partnerships.

The successful candidate will demonstrate

• A Degree level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., planning, housing, regeneration, real estate, construction) OR significant equivalent professional experience.
• Significant experience in housing development, regeneration, construction or development management.
• Experience of managing strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong commercial, financial and project management skills.
• Excellent leadership and people management capabilities.
• A sound understanding of planning, development viability, contract management and programme delivery.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality homes and positive outcomes for communities.
