Identity Management Consultant
Identity Consultant
We’re looking for an experienced Consultant to join us and support our growing digital strategy. This is a trusted, customer-focused role supporting enterprise organisations across identity, access and Microsoft infrastructure solutions. You will bring strong technical awareness, professional consulting skills and the confidence to support customers throughout the full sales and deployment lifecycle.
“a great place to work, a great place to be a customer”
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted pair of hands for our customers, providing clear, professional consultancy across relevant sales and deployment engagements.
- Support the full consulting life cycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through proposal development, solution planning, deployment and handover.
- Work with customers and internal teams across Exchange Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Conditional Access.
- Create clear proposals, scopes and supporting documentation that translate customer requirements into practical, supportable solutions.
- Contribute to pre-sales activity by helping customers understand the proposed approach, outcomes, dependencies and delivery journey.
- Build awareness of the wider commercial journey, including approvals, contracting, legal processes, delivery dependencies and customer commitments.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Deployment and technical specialists, recognising when deeper identity expertise is required and bringing in the right support.
- Maintain professional communication and effective stakeholder management throughout each engagement.
Key Skills & Experience
- At least five years’ relevant experience across enterprise Microsoft infrastructure, identity, access or deployment environments.
- Practical knowledge of Exchange Server and Active Directory, with a sound working awareness of Microsoft Entra and cloud technologies.
- Awareness of PAM, PIM, Conditional Access and identity and access management principles. Deep identity specialism is not essential.
- Experience of working in a consulting or customer-facing technical role, ideally within enterprise environments.
- Confident producing proposals, scopes, recommendations and lifecycle documentation.
- Professional, credible and dependable, with the judgement to operate as a trusted adviser to customers and colleagues.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of how sales, contractual, legal and delivery processes connect.
- Organised and able to manage priorities across multiple engagements while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable working remotely and travelling occasionally for hub days, conferences and customer meetings.
