Intern - Diversified Industrials Relationship Management (6 to 12 months)
Commerzbank’s London Branch are looking for a motivated Intern to join their Diversified Industrials Relationship Management team for six to twelve months. The team manages and develops relationships with major UK corporate clients across the Industrials sector (Defence, Chemicals, Transport, Logistics).
Working closely with experienced Relationship Managers and product specialists, you will gain hands-on exposure to client coverage, financial and credit analysis, lending, transaction banking and client onboarding processes. You will support live client assignments through research, analysis, presentation preparation and the coordination of client-related activities.
Duration: Six to twelve months, depending on candidate availability and business requirements

What you will do
- · Support Relationship Managers in the day-to-day coverage of Diversified Industrials clients and prospects.
- · Conduct company, sector and market research to support client strategy and business-development activity.
- · Assist with financial-statement analysis, credit analysis and preparation of materials for credit approvals, transaction proposals and annual reviews.
- · Prepare client presentations, briefing notes, meeting materials and internal updates.
- · Support the preparation, review and maintenance of client onboarding and Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation, escalating issues where appropriate.
- · Coordinate actions arising from Client Service Team meetings and facilitate information flow between coverage, product, credit, risk and support teams.
- · Help identify potential business opportunities across lending, trade finance, cash management, foreign exchange and capital-markets products.
- · Maintain accurate records and handle client information in line with confidentiality and control requirements.

What you will bring
· Undergraduate or postgraduate student, or a recent graduate (within the past two years), preferably in finance, economics, business, accounting or a related discipline.
· Strong academic performance.

Desirable
- · Previous internship, work experience or extracurricular experience in banking, finance, consulting, accounting or professional services.
- · Familiarity with financial statements, corporate lending or credit analysis.
- · Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skill
