Licensed sponsor London Full-time Posted 5 days ago

Build the product range at a pivotal moment!

We design and run our own investment products across funds, model portfolios and bespoke discretionary mandates, and we have ambitious plans to grow that range significantly. We are looking for someone to lead it. help us achieve that vision.

This is a newly created role with real autonomy and accountability. You will be our single point of source of expertise on investment product, working directly with our Managing Director, Investments and Governance, and our senior investment leadership team. You will take ownership of our the Mattioli Woods investments product range from first idea to launch and ongoing review.

What you will do

  • design and launch new investment products: lead the development of strategic product requirements for Mattioli Woods investments OEICs, model portfolios and bespoke discretionary mandates, and keep our product roadmap in step with business strategy
  • own product governance: act as the first line expert for our manufactured products, meeting MiFID II, COLL, COBS, Consumer Duty and PROD requirements, and write the papers that take decisions through governance forums
  • manage key relationships: run the day-to-day relationship with our Authorised Corporate Director (ACD), and look after contracts with platforms, index providers and data suppliers
  • make the commercial case: analyse competitors, pricing and product performance, and work with distribution and marketing colleagues so our range is well positioned
  • bring people with you: build strong relationships across investment, compliance, legal, operations and distribution, and explain complex topics in plain terms

What we are looking for

You will shape our framework for investment product design and first line product governance. set the standard for how we do product here, rather than inherit it. You will build the framework as well as work within it, and you will be credible with senior stakeholders and external partners alike.

You will have

  • about 5+ years’ experience in investment product management
  • exposure to both fund manufacturing and wealth or discretionary model portfolio solutions
  • hands-on experience of launching and closing products across the full lifecycle
  • a solid understanding of UK regulation, including MiFID II, COLL, COBS, Consumer Duty and PROD
  • experience of owning supplier contracts or external relationships, such as ACDs, index providers or data providers
  • strong analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication

It would help if you also have an IMC, CFA or CAIA qualification (or are working towards one), and experience of a smaller, fast-growing business where breadth and adaptability matter.

You do not need to have done every part of this role. If you have deep product expertise and want to build something significant, we would like to hear from you.
