Java Full-Stack Engineer (C++ / Java)

Living in London | 3x Days Onsite per week

Start date: ASAP | 12 Month B2B Contract +

Must have experience in High-Frequency Trading (HFT), electronic trading, or ultra-low-latency environments.

Requirements

• 5-10 years’ experience in Software Engineering within High-Frequency Trading (HFT), electronic trading, or ultra-low-latency environments.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Core Java and C++.
• Deep expertise in Linux, low-latency network programming, kernel bypass technologies, and performance optimisation.
• Extensive experience with market data distribution platforms and protocols, including Refinitiv ETA, Denali, MPAC, and Beacon.
• Strong understanding of EMEA and US Options markets, MiFID II regulations, and proprietary direct market data feeds.
• Experience with deployment and release tools such as Bluezone and Deploy.
• Proven track record in performance tuning, profiling, and application/network troubleshooting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Desirable

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, ownership-driven approach.
• Experience designing event-driven and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices for low-latency environments.
• Previous experience within large-scale banking, financial services, or electronic trading organisations.
• Familiarity with advanced monitoring, hardware timestamping, and network telemetry solutions.
