Learning Support Assistant - Specialising in Science
You will be employed by the trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. The schools are Radford Primary Academy, Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School), Sidney Stringer Primary School and Sidney Stringer Academy.We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support Team, to develop an understanding of the special educational needs of the student/s concerned.
Approximately 20% of the students at the Academy are identified as SEND and within this there is a varied spectrum of additional needs. We strive to ensure that all students have equal access to a broad and balanced curriculum and our LSAs are integral to this. Job overview To work under the guidance of the Assistant Principal for Inclusion to support, monitor, and track the progress of targeted students at all key stages.
To implement learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of students, including more specific support for those with special educational needs to make accelerated progress in Science. This work may take place in the classroom or in other teaching areas.
