Midday Meals Supervisor - Coopers Lane Primary School
Job Description
The role
Coopers Lane Primary School is a diverse inner-city school with a strong commitment to inclusive practice and an excellent reputation for teaching and learning. We are a popular community school with high expectations for all of our children. Our school motto is All Different, All Equal, All Smiling and this really captures the heart of Coopers Lane. The school currently has three forms of entry.
In our most recent Ofsted inspection in July 2026, Ofsted evaluated Cooper's Lane across seven key areas: safeguarding, inclusion, curriculum and teaching, achievement, attendance and behaviour, development and wellbeing, and leadership and governance.
We are proud to share that we achieved the strong standard grade in six of these areas, with the expected standard grade in one area. Inspectors described us as a welcoming, inclusive community with the motto "All different, all equal, all smiling". They noted positive pupil behaviour and strong staff relationships. The report also referenced our playground spaces – including our wonderful tube train!
We are seeking an enthusiastic Lunchtime Play Worker to join our vibrant school community and support our pupils during their midday break.
In this role, you will supervise children during their dining time and facilitate engaging, active play in our playground. As an OPAL Platinum School (Outdoor Play and Learning), we are proud of our innovative approach to lunchtime play, which encourages open-ended, creative and exciting outdoor experiences that support children's physical and social development.
This is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference to our pupils' daily experience and wellbeing.
