Description: Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 2 years We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Project Manager / Surveyor to join our Hard FM Minor Works team, delivering refurbishment and alteration projects across a diverse public estate. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, applying innovative and sustainable solutions to enhance building performance and user experience. You'll be part of a professional, multi-disciplinary Estates & Buildings service operating across the full asset lifecycle—plan, create, operate, and redefine—offering varied, meaningful work and strong career development opportunities. This is a full time, fixed term role working 37 hours per week (for 2 years). This role offers flexible hybrid working, with an office base at City Hall combined with remote working. Site visits across Leicestershire will be required to oversee project delivery and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver minor works projects of varying scale and complexity across the council's estate Manage projects end-to-end, including scope development, procurement, delivery, and handover Chair site and progress meetings, ensuring quality, compliance, and performance standards are met Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure value for money Apply technical knowledge of Hard FM and statutory compliance to ensure best practice Drive sustainability initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce carbon impact and support climate goals Engage effectively with internal clients, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes About You You'll bring a strong track record in project delivery within a complex or large-scale organisation, ideally within estates, construction, or facilities management. About You
