Job Overview

• We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious General Maintenance Operative with plumbing knowledge to support maintenance and repair tasks across a single site of over 30 different buildings.
• The role involves working independently and collaboratively to deliver planned, reactive and remedial tasks on time, whilst strictly adhering to health and safety regulations.

Main Duties

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on engineering services as required and in line with skills set
• Include weekly flushing, monthly tap temperatures, maintaining and replacing tap aerators as well as any other PPM tasks as required
• perform scheduled maintenance service on basic plumbing and fixtures as directed, repair and maintain sinks, baths, showers and toilets.
• diagnose and repair leaks
• attend emergencies as required, including blocked pipes and toilets
• attend all other faults / call outs as requested.

• good understanding of health and safety requirements withing a building environment
• have a proactive approach to maintenance and building management
• fault finding abilities are essential
• ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer based systems
• good communication skills and the ability to work within a team

• experience of working within a customer focused environment
• able to do the job right and do it right first time, within a pre-determined timescale
• willingness to undertake further training
