About the Team

The Neighbourhood Housing Management Team is at the heart of delivering excellent services to residents. The team provides a visible, responsive and resident-focused housing management service to tenants, leaseholders and other stakeholders, resolving complex housing issues, managing estates, addressing anti-social behaviour, and ensuring residents receive high-quality services that meet regulatory expectations.

Working closely with colleagues across the Council and external partners, the team plays a key role in creating safe, sustainable neighbourhoods and improving outcomes for residents.

About the Role

As a Neighbourhood Housing Manager, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering a comprehensive housing management service across a defined geographical area. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring services are resident-focused, compliant, efficient and deliver consistently high standards.

You will oversee the effective management of tenancy, estate and neighbourhood issues, service requests, complaints, safeguarding concerns and complex casework, ensuring residents receive timely and effective resolutions. You will drive a culture of accountability, customer focus and continuous improvement across your service area.

The role requires you to effectively manage people, budgets and resources, using performance data and insight to monitor outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure service standards are achieved. You will provide coaching, support and leadership to Senior Neighbourhood Housing Officers and their teams, enabling them to deliver excellent services and achieve performance targets.

You will build and maintain strong partnerships with internal services, elected members, community organisations and external agencies to improve neighbourhood outcomes and deliver wider corporate priorities. You will also lead and contribute to transformation and service improvement initiatives, helping to shape the future of neighbourhood housing services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding resident services and developing high-performing teams.

Successful candidates will be asked to apply for an enhanced from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Further information about the DBS can be found at www.homeoffice.gov.uk/agencies-public-bodies/dbs
