Paid Search Executive (PPC)

Licensed sponsor Maidenhead Posted 7 hours ago

Role: PPC Executive

  • Work Type: Permanent (38.75 hours per week)
  • Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire (3 days on site, Hybrid working)
  • Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
  • Death is part of life. We help people face it well.

Every day, people search for help with things most of us would rather not think about: planning a funeral, writing a will, sorting out probate, or arranging a cremation after someone they love has died. Some are planning years ahead. Some are searching at 2 am, the night it happened.

When they search, we want them to find us. Not with clickbait or hard-sell, but with clear, honest information that helps at exactly the right moment. That’s where you come in.

The Role

You’ll own our paid media across Google, Microsoft, Meta, Taboola and beyond, and turn data into decisions that help more people find the support they need. You’ll work closely with senior marketing leaders, so your ideas won’t sit in a backlog. If you spot something worth testing, you’ll test it. If it works, you’ll help shape where we go next.

This isn’t PPC for the sake of clicks. The people seeing our ads might be grieving, worried, or trying to do the right thing for their family. Getting the message right matters, and so does getting the numbers right.

What you’ll do

  • Run and optimise paid campaigns across Google, Microsoft, Meta, Taboola and other platforms.
  • Dig into performance data and turn it into practical improvements that grow ROI and bring in new customers.
  • Research keywords and write ad copy and creative briefs that are clear, kind and plain-speaking, never pushy.
  • Use AI tools to sharpen targeting, optimisation and insight.
  • Keep our tracking, UTM tagging and account hygiene in excellent shape.
  • Run A/B tests and experiments, and share what you learn, including what didn’t work.
  • Report on performance and present findings to stakeholders in a way that’s easy to act on.
  • Work with SEO, CRM, content and web teams so every channel pulls in the same direction.

What you’ll bring

  • Hands-on experience running paid campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta.
  • A solid grasp of PPC optimisation, performance metrics and what drives ROI.
  • Confidence analysing data and turning it into clear next steps.
  • Real experience with A/B testing and experimentation.
  • Curiosity about AI-powered marketing tools and how to use them well.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Looker Studio or similar.
  • A working knowledge of SEO, email and wider acquisition channels.
  • Good judgement about tone. You don’t need experience in our sector, but you do need to care about speaking to people honestly when it counts.

Why this role?

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of high-impact digital campaigns, work with cutting-edge AI marketing tools, and directly influence business growth in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Why Life Services Group

Life Services Group exists to help every family in Britain navigate the hardest moments of life. We bring together trusted names across funeral services, crematoria and cemeteries, legal services, direct cremation and wills, including Dignity Funeral Directors, CMG, Simplicity Cremations, Dignity Legal Services and Farewill, so families can get more of the support they need in one place.

Our ambition is to support one in three families across the UK as they plan for, navigate and deal with death. We want to set a new standard for care, service and simplicity across the sector.

Death is part of life, and being there for families when it matters is what we do. That means making difficult moments feel more supported, more straightforward and more human.

We are building a modern group that supports families at every stage, from planning ahead with wills and funeral plans, to arranging a funeral, cremation or burial, and managing probate afterwards. This is a defining moment for our business. With stronger foundations, clearer strategy and real momentum, we can change end-of-life care for the better. We are modernising how we work, investing in our colleagues and technology, and helping more families than any one brand could alone.

Wherever you work in Life Services Group, in one of our local teams, specialist brands or group functions, you’ll be part of work with meaningful purpose. You will help families through some of life’s hardest and most important moments.

Across all our brands, we want colleagues to grow with us through better training, stronger support, modern tools and clearer opportunities to build skills and confidence. You’ll be part of teams who care deeply about what they do, look out for each other and take pride in doing work that matters.

You will also help shape the future of end-of-life care. That means making support simpler, more connected and more human for families, while each brand keeps the identity, expertise and community connection people already know and trust.

If you want a career with meaningful purpose, room to grow with us and the chance to shape the future, find your Life’s work.
