About The Role
Wellington Management manages approximately $33 billion in hedge fund assets on behalf of more than 1,000 clients worldwide. Our multi-strategy Global Macro business manages over $10 billion in assets and continues to grow. To support that growth and continue meeting our clients' investment expectations, we are seeking an experienced Emerging Markets Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to join the team. The position will be based in either New York, London or Boston.
This individual will be responsible for managing a dedicated alpha sleeve consistent with their stated philosophy and process, and within their area of specialization across Emerging Markets fixed income. The alpha sleeve will be available across the platform for incorporation into appropriate client mandates, ranging from hedge funds to constrained portfolios.

Responsibilities
- Manage a meaningful discretionary Emerging Markets fixed income alpha sleeve as a member of the Global Macro team;
- Generate differentiated investment ideas across Emerging Markets fixed income, consistent with the individual's area of expertise;
- Contribute to the Global Macro and broader firm investment dialogue;
- Partner with sales and client functions to help grow assets and build client relationships;
- Mentor high-potential and developing investment talent within the team.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is likely to have
- A minimum of 10+ years of relevant investment experience in Emerging Markets fixed income, with experience managing meaningful assets and an attributable investment track record;
- Demonstrated ability to scale risk across market environments;
- A strong investment philosophy and repeatable process for idea generation, decision-making, portfolio construction and risk management;
- Deep expertise within Emerging Markets fixed income, which may include sovereign, corporate, local markets, rates, currencies or related credit strategies;
- A fiduciary mindset and relentless focus on client outcomes, with the highest levels of personal and professional integrity and ethics;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and inclusive work ethic;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a global team;
- A self-reflective mindset and commitment to continuous improvement in both skills and decision-making;
- Strong academic credentials, ideally including a postgraduate or professional qualification.

We strive to pay employees fairly and competitively across all levels and roles. Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 120,000 - 225,000
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
