The Opportunity

We are looking for a creative and business-focused Power BI Dashboard Designer to transform data into clear, engaging and user-friendly dashboards that support business decision-making.

This role is focused on the presentation and visualisation of data rather than software development or complex technical engineering. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, establish what information matters most and design intuitive dashboards that make insights easier to access and understand.

Data will be supplied by dedicated technical teams, allowing you to focus on how information is brought together, presented and consumed by the business. The ideal candidate will combine strong visual design skills with excellent communication, a proactive approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and enhance Power BI dashboards that present business data in a clear, engaging and accessible format.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective visual reporting solutions.
• Create intuitive dashboard layouts, navigation and visualisations that improve the end-user experience.
• Bring together data supplied by technical teams and determine the most effective way to display it.
• Simplify complex information through thoughtful visual design, highlighting key trends, performance measures and insights.
• Improve existing dashboards by identifying opportunities to enhance usability, consistency and presentation.
• Collaborate with data and technology teams to ensure the information provided meets business needs.
• Manage priorities, take ownership of deliverables and ensure agreed work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
• Communicate progress clearly, manage expectations and build strong working relationships with stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience designing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Strong visualisation skills, with an eye for layout, presentation, consistency and detail.
• A user-focused mindset, with an understanding of UI/UX principles and how people interact with dashboards.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage business stakeholders and understand their requirements.
• The ability to translate business needs into clear, practical and visually effective reporting solutions.
• A proactive and organised approach, with a strong sense of ownership and a track record of delivering commitments.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with technical teams who provide the underlying data.

Desirable Experience

• Experience in revenue analytics, financial reporting, commercial performance or management information.
• Exposure to financial services, banking, wealth management or asset management.
• Experience improving existing reporting products and gathering feedback from end users.
• Familiarity with design principles that make dashboards intuitive, consistent and easy to navigate.
