Job Title: Commercial & Procurement Manager
Location: Bishop’s Stortford, Essex (primary site) — with regular travel to Harlow and Southend
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri)
About the Role
JMC Aviation are currently recruiting for a Commercial & Procurement Manager on a full-time permanent basis on behalf of a well respected aviation business.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving commercial performance and procurement strategy across a busy aviation environment. You’ll bring strong commercial awareness, hands-on procurement expertise, and the ability to lead people and stakeholders—supporting operational delivery across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop procurement activity to support operational requirements across multiple sites
- Drive strong commercial outcomes through supplier management, negotiation, and contract oversight
- Manage and improve procurement processes, ensuring value, compliance, and robust governance
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and challenge where appropriate
- Support import/export requirements and ensure procurement activity aligns with relevant regulations
- Provide people leadership, coaching and performance management within the procurement function
- Maintain accurate supplier/contract records and ensure appropriate coverage is in place
- Identify and deliver cost-saving/value opportunities while maintaining service and quality standards
Candidate Requirements
- Proven commercial and procurement leadership experience
- Aviation / MRO / Aerospace manufacturing sector experience essential.
- Strong import/export exposure and understanding
- Demonstrable people management experience
- Confident negotiator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Commercially astute, able to balance cost, risk, compliance and operational continuity
