Product Manager (Risk & Compliance)

Licensed sponsor London Full-time Posted 2 hours ago

The Department

Our Technology team continues to go from strength to strength, playing a vital role in firm-wide innovation and strategy. Far from being a support function, Technology is integral to the firm's growth agenda, backed by strong leadership engagement and sustained investment.

The Role

The Product Manager (Risk & Compliance) will be responsible for supporting the development, continuous improvement, and successful operation of the firm's Risk & Compliance product area, with Intapp as the core platform. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, suppliers, and colleagues across product and delivery to ensure the product continues to meet business needs, supports effective operational processes, and delivers value to the firm.

A key focus for this role will be supporting the firm through an upcoming SaaS upgrade, helping to ensure that product decisions are well informed, impacts are understood, and changes are implemented in a way that supports both business priorities and long-term platform sustainability. The role will work alongside a Project Manager, who will lead project delivery and governance, and a Product Owner, who will bring detailed knowledge of existing processes and configuration and help assess what should not be carried forward into SaaS.

This role will suit someone who is comfortable working across business and technology teams, can bring structure and clarity to complex issues, and is able to balance day-to-day product management with longer-term improvement opportunities.

Duties And Responsibilities

Product Management

  • Work alongside the Project Manager, who will be responsible for overall project management, planning, governance, and coordination.
  • Work alongside the Product Owner, who will provide detailed knowledge of existing business processes and configuration, including assessing those elements that cannot or should not be taken forward into SaaS.
  • Help assess the impact of proposed changes on users, processes, and the operating model.
  • Support prioritisation and decision-making by balancing business need, user impact, SaaS constraints, and long-term product integrity.
  • Contribute to business readiness activity, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training input, and adoption planning.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build effective working relationships with business users, operational teams, compliance stakeholders, IT colleagues, and third-party suppliers.
  • Act as a key point of coordination across business, product, project, and technology teams to ensure priorities, decisions, and dependencies are understood.
  • Facilitate discussions to clarify requirements, align stakeholders, and resolve issues.
  • Communicate product priorities, planned changes, risks, and progress clearly and consistently.
  • Ensure that key product decisions, assumptions, and outcomes are captured and understood by the relevant stakeholders.

Governance

  • Support effective product governance through clear documentation, prioritisation, and decision tracking.
  • Identify and raise delivery, operational, and adoption risks within the product area as appropriate.
  • Contribute to release planning, testing support, implementation readiness, and post-implementation review activity.
  • Help embed good product management practices across backlog management, prioritisation, change control, and value tracking.
  • Promote a pragmatic, user-centred approach to product development that balances usability, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Essential

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a Product Manager (or similar) role supporting business systems, enterprise applications, or operational platforms.
  • Familiarity with core product management disciplines, including roadmap management, backlog prioritisation, user story development, and outcome tracking.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand pain points, and support the development of solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activity across different workstreams.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain process and system issues clearly to a range of audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively across business and technology teams, building strong and credible working relationships.
  • Experience supporting business change, product enhancements, or transformation activity in a business-critical environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down issues and support practical decision-making.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where product, process, technology, and change intersect.
  • A proactive and accountable approach, with a focus on delivery and continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience working with Intapp, particularly in Risk, Compliance, Conflicts, Client Intake, or associated workflows.
  • Experience supporting SaaS migrations, upgrades, or product modernisation activity.
  • Experience working in a regulated, professional services, legal, or risk-sensitive environment.
  • Understanding of business readiness, adoption, and change support activity.
  • Appreciation of the relationship between business process design, configuration, and platform capability in enterprise systems.
