Licensed sponsor Norwich Full-time Posted 5 hours ago

We are looking for a pharmacist ready to take the next step in their career as a specialist rotational pharmacist at The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Pharmacy Department, which is a large forward thinking team which is highly regarded within the Trust. We can offer this as a progressional Band 6 to 7 post if you do not fully meet the specification for the band 7 post.

We have strong links to both the School of Pharmacy at the nearby University of East Anglia, with innovative placement programmes for pharmacy students. Electronic prescribing and medicines administration has been implemented across all inpatient wards, the A&E and outpatients. We are at the forefront of healthcare delivery with a strong focus on Medicines Management and innovative pharmaceutical practice.

We are about to embark on a department development and modernisation programme which makes this an exciting time to join the pharmacy team!

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a strong clinical background to join our team of Rotational Specialist Pharmacists. You will have the opportunity to work as part of our ward-based pharmacy service, working alongside the MDT, including our existing team of specialist and highly specialist pharmacists. You will also have opportunities to work in specialties across medicine and surgery in addition to other pharmacy services as part of the specialist rotational team.

The focus for this post is to take an active role in the pharmaceutical care of a range of conditions and advise clinicians. Participation in MDT ward rounds and prescribing of medicines to ensure a seamless transfer of care will be expected. You must be able to work both as part of a team and autonomously. Prescribing is a key part of this role – you will be supported to undertake the training if you do not already hold the qualification.
