Working with customers and distributed delivery teams, you will define solution roadmaps, guide configuration and integration decisions, provide design assurance, and support programmes from discovery and implementation through deployment and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture for SAP S/4HANA or ECC Plant Maintenance and Enterprise Asset Management solutions across maintenance execution, planning, scheduling and asset lifecycle processes.
- Lead discovery workshops, analyse business and operational requirements, and translate them into solution architecture, process designs, functional specifications and delivery roadmaps.
- Define SAP PM / EAM configuration and design standards covering technical objects, maintenance processing, notifications, orders, task lists, maintenance plans, measuring points and refurbishment.
- Design integration with SAP MM, FI/CO, PP, QM and related enterprise systems, ensuring consistent master data, controls and end-to-end process integrity.
- Provide architecture governance and design assurance, balancing standard SAP capabilities with justified extensions and integration patterns.
- Guide configuration, testing, data migration, cutover, deployment and hypercare activities; resolve complex functional and integration issues.
- Create and maintain architecture artefacts, process flows, functional specifications, configuration guides, decision records and support documentation.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners; mentor consultants and contribute to estimates, proposals and delivery planning.
- Support upgrades, migrations and new-functionality rollouts while identifying opportunities for process standardisation and continuous improvement.
Experience (Must Have)
- At least five years of SAP PM / EAM consulting experience, including multiple full-cycle implementations and significant experience in a Solution Architect or Lead Consultant role.
- Deep functional and configuration knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance / Enterprise Asset Management in SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC.
- Strong understanding of asset-management processes, including preventive and corrective maintenance, work management, planning, scheduling, breakdown maintenance and asset master data.
- Proven integration experience across SAP MM, FI/CO, PP and QM, with the ability to assess cross-functional impacts and dependencies.
- Experience leading workshops, producing architecture and functional design documentation, and communicating solutions to business and technical audiences.
- Experience across testing, data migration, cutover, deployment and post-implementation support.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach to architecture and delivery.
Additional Skills (Nice to have)
- SAP certification in Plant Maintenance, Enterprise Asset Management or SAP S/4HANA Asset Management.
- Experience with SAP Service and Asset Manager, SAP Work Manager or other SAP EAM mobile solutions.
- Knowledge of maintenance and workforce scheduling solutions such as SAP Field Service Management, SAP Multi-Resource Scheduling, ClickSoftware or Resource Scheduling for Maintenance Planners.
- Experience integrating SAP EAM with Esri or other GIS platforms, document-management solutions, and mobile or connected-worker technologies.
- Knowledge of SAP Asset Performance Management, reliability-centred maintenance, condition monitoring or predictive-maintenance capabilities.
- Basic ABAP knowledge and the ability to collaborate effectively on enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms and workflows.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, utilities, oil and gas, facilities management or other asset-intensive sectors.
Person Specification
- A credible architecture leader who can challenge constructively, make clear decisions and take ownership of outcomes.
- Highly ambitious, curious and willing to learn new technologies and industry practices.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing environment that values initiative, adaptability, collaboration and personal ownership.
- Able to travel and stay away from home for 20–60% of the time for client assignments.
