Job summary

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required. Candidate is expected to work at the level of a ST6-ST7 senior registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). This post has arisen due to middle grade expansion for a period of 24 months.
Main duties of the job
The post will enable us to maintain an adequate level of obstetrics and gynaecology activity and will be an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain further experience in the speciality. It is full-time position however if candidate is unable, for personal reasons, work full time, candidate will still be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job description will be discussed on a personal basis following consultation with College Tutors.
