Job Purpose
We are seeking a talented and collaborative Senior Housing Architect to join our London studio as a project leader. Working on large-scale, mixed-tenure residential projects across London and the UK, this role focuses on delivering high-quality, well-considered housing at scale, rather than bespoke high-end residential, with a strong emphasis on design quality, buildability, sustainability, and social value. You will play a vital role in contributing to the design and delivery of complex housing-led developments while working closely alongside multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, and local authorities.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver compelling design proposals for mixed-tenure residential schemes across a variety of scales.
Produce coordinated architectural information and documentation using Revit to an exceptionally high standard.
Collaborate seamlessly within project teams and across various consultant disciplines to ensure an integrated design approach.
Contribute proactively to planning submissions, design reports, and client presentation materials.
Ensure all projects respond effectively and accurately to London housing policy, planning guidance, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate efficiently with consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Support the overall delivery of well-designed, sustainable, and commercially viable housing solutions.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong demonstrable experience in UK residential architecture, specifically focusing on mixed-tenure housing across all tenures.
Proven track record working on large-scale projects consisting of 100+ homes.
Excellent design skills paired with a deep understanding of housing typologies and placemaking.
Proficiency in Revit is essential for this role.
Comprehensive working knowledge of UK building regulations, local planning requirements, and residential design standards.
Solid experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing technical information flow.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively and efficiently within a fast-paced studio environment.
Desirable Qualities for Success
Qualified Architect with active ARB registration is strongly preferred.
