Licensed sponsor London, England, United Kingdom Full-time Posted 55 minutes ago
IN SHORT

As Senior Legal Assistant for the Trading & LNG Legal Team, you will provide critical administrative and operational support to the SVP Trading & LNG and his team. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Legal function, its interface with CCO and with other functions. You will need to manage executive support, legal administration, corporate housekeeping and contract-related activities.

Working independently and proactively, you will manage competing priorities, coordinate key processes and take ownership of a broad range of legal and administrative activities. Your support will enable the Trading & LNG Legal Team to focus on delivering high-quality legal advice to the business.

What Will You Do

  • Manage complex calendars and schedules for the SVP Legal and his team, prioritizing meetings, appointments and deadlines, resolving conflicts and anticipating scheduling requirements.
  • Coordinate corporate housekeeping activities, including supporting corporate matters, shareholder resolutions and powers of attorney, and assisting with the signature, filing and reporting of corporate instruments.
  • Coordinate corporate matters independently, liaising with notaries, courts and company registers as required.
  • Draft and process standard legal documents and template agreements, such as NDAs, and coordinate these with relevant business stakeholders. Assistance with contractual and post-contractual administration.
  • Maintain and organize Legal & Compliance company files and documentation, both electronically and physically, across the group.
  • Independently coordinate and respond to administrative enquiries relating to the Legal & Compliance function.
  • Organize domestic and international business travel, including flights, accommodation and itineraries, while proactively managing changes or disruptions.
  • Support budget administration, expense reporting and purchase-order processes, identifying discrepancies and ensuring alignment with internal policies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working within the Legal & Compliance function.

What Will You Bring

  • A paralegal qualification or comparable legal/administrative qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in a comparable legal support role, ideally within a law firm or in-house legal function, supporting senior legal professionals and managing legal and administrative processes independently.
  • Practical experience supporting legal administrative processes and handling legal documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks and drive actions forward independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured, wholly reliable way of working.
  • Confidence handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Very good proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • The ability to remain organized and effective in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
