Senior Research Fellow - Flagship Delivery Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Manager to work on a NIHR ARC Wessex funded programme to manage and support the Living Well with Long Term Conditions (LWwLTC) theme which is part of the NIHR ARC Wessex.

The flagship delivery manager will be responsible for managing the applied research within the flagship programme Tackling Challenges in Multiple Long-Term Conditions and coordinating the delivery of agile projects within the wider LWwLTC theme.

The LWwLTC flagship will develop, test and implement inclusive, integrated and person-centred models of care that enable people with complex needs to live well at home and within their communities for longer.

The flagship will focus on strengthening neighbourhood health and care systems, improving coordination across health, social care, local government and voluntary sectors, and reducing inequalities in access to support, with an initial emphasis on dementia care closer to home.

Candidates should have wide research experience in LTC/MLTC and have an interest or demonstrate relevant experience in applied health research projects and successful completion of research activities or projects including strong publications. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to organise teams, manage projects and design/deliver research strategy.

Additionally, the candidate will need to show evidence of successful management of their own workload, plan research activities to a high standard and to deadlines and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge, experience and understanding of challenges in MLTC, national initiatives in MLTC research, research implementation and work with local authorities would be an important advantage.
