About Position and details

Role: Senior SQL Server DBA
Location: Harbour Exchange Square, London
Mode: Hybrid, 2-3 days
Job Type: Permanent role

Job Summary: -

Priority: Candidates with strong SQL Server production DBA experience, hands-on SSIS/ETL capabilities, and AWS RDS exposure should be prioritized. PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DB2 are secondary skills and should not delay sourcing.

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server DBA to support a combination of project delivery and Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations, with primary emphasis on project work. The resource will support SQL Server infrastructure, ETL development, AWS cloud initiatives, database upgrades, and data warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

SQL Server production database administration and operational support.
SSIS package development, deployment, and maintenance.
ETL development and deployment activities.
AWS RDS SQL Server database provisioning and management.
SQL Server upgrades, including planned migrations from SQL Server 2019 to 2022.
Support on-premises and AWS-hosted database environments.
Support existing data warehouse operations and cloud migration initiatives.
Contribute to BAU activities alongside ongoing database projects.

Required Skills

Strong senior-level Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience.
Hands-on expertise in SSIS and ETL development/deployment.
Experience managing production SQL Server environments.
AWS experience, particularly RDS for SQL Server.
SQL Server upgrades and migration experience.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

PostgreSQL
Oracle
IBM DB2
Data warehouse administration and cloud migration experience.
Database automation and tooling experience.
