We have a strong presence in poultry, chilled, and bakery food categories. We are committed to delivering high-quality products to the British public and our retail and food service customers, including major retailers like Aldi, Asda, Co-op, KFC, Lidl, Marks & Spencer, Morrison's, Salisbury's, Tesco, and Waitrose.

About The Role

Reporting into the site's SHE function, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day management of health, safety and environmental standards. This is a hands-on position, split approximately 50% between the factory floor and the office, giving you the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the site while maintaining accurate records and supporting key SHE activities.

You will help identify potential risks, monitor compliance and ensure that appropriate health and safety measures are in place, in line with current HSE legislation and 2 Sisters Food Group standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site walks and inspections to identify health and safety breaches, unsafe behaviours and potential hazards.
  • Monitor, audit, review and record SHE performance to ensure compliance with company standards and current legislation.
  • Assist with environmental compliance, ensuring site activities and working areas meet the required environmental standards.
  • Work closely with operational teams and colleagues across the site to raise awareness of SHE requirements and encourage a positive safety culture.
  • Assist with the preparation of SHE reports, performance data and KPIs, helping to track compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the wider SHE team with ongoing initiatives, audits, investigations and other activities as required.

About You

  • Experience in a health and safety, SHE or environmental role, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
  • An understanding of health and safety legislation and workplace compliance requirements.
  • The confidence to carry out site inspections, identify hazards and raise concerns where necessary.
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to assist with reports, audits and KPIs.
  • A relevant health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH, would be advantageous.
