Join Derbyshire's Children with Disabilities Service
Working as a Social Worker within our Children with Disabilities Service is a rewarding and fulfilling career. You will support some of our most vulnerable children and young people, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and ensuring their voices are heard.
Our work is varied and meaningful, providing support across a range of statutory responsibilities including:
- Child in Need assessments and planning
- Child Protection work
- Looked After Children case management
- Collaborative working with education, health and partner agencies
What makes our service unique is the opportunity to develop long-term, relationship-based practice with children and families who may require ongoing support throughout different stages of their lives.
We are proud of our supportive and experienced management team, who are committed to providing regular supervision, accessible guidance, and opportunities for professional development. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or looking to develop specialist knowledge within disability social work, you will be joining a team that values collaboration, learning and reflective practice.
Our team is passionate about improving outcomes for children with disabilities and ensuring families receive the right support at the right time. We recognise the challenges of social work and actively promote a positive and supportive working environment where staff wellbeing is valued.
If you are committed to making a real difference to the lives of children with disabilities and their families, we would love to hear from you.
