Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Learning Disabilities
The post holder will be joining the award winning Camden Learning Disabilities Service as part of an integrated community team. This post is covering 8 months of maternity leave and would be supervised by a senior SLT.
The post holder will work autonomously holding a complex caseload of both Dysphagia and Communication. They will be carrying out assessment and intervention/management plans as well as contributing to risk assessments and clinical pathway meetings.
- Dysphagia caseload; assessment, diagnosis, management plan and reviews
- Communication caseload: assessment, diagnosis and intervention planning
- Training; dysphagia training, person focused training relating to dysphagia or communication
- Clinical Pathways - to represent SLT on delegated clinical pathways such as dementia or complex health and offer advice and support to MDT colleagues
- Supervision of Band 3 SLT assistant
