Teaching and Learning Assistant

The Governors wish to appoint a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic Teaching and Learning Assistant to assist Year 5/6 class from January 2027. The position will be based at Wessington Primary School.

The ability to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher in helping to deliver and assess maths and English skills to improve attainment and achievement for all pupils is essential.

We require someone who enjoys working with children, has a positive outlook, good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work on their own and as part of a team. Previous experience of working in a school environment and have previous experience of Y6 SATS would be advantageous.
