We're looking for a Trainee Customer Service Manager to join our fast-paced Transport team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has strong customer service skills and is ready to develop in a management role within a highly operational logistics environment.
This is not your typical customer service position.
Our operation runs in real-time, meaning priorities can change quickly, challenges need immediate solutions, and communication is key. You'll be learning how to manage service performance, support operational decision-making, and lead a team in a demanding transport environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Learning how to manage and develop a Customer Service team
- Supporting daily transport operations and service delivery
- Working closely with drivers, planners, depots, and customers
- Investigating service issues and identifying solutions
- Monitoring performance and customer satisfaction
- Managing competing priorities in a fast-moving operational environment
- Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Developing leadership skills through coaching, support, and training
What We're Looking For
- Ambitious and eager to progress into a management role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Previous customer service experience is beneficial, but attitude and potential are what matter most
