Trainee Insurance Adviser

About The Role

Are you looking to build a rewarding career in financial services? As a Trainee Insurance adviser, you will play a key role in helping clients understand the importance of protecting themselves and their families financially. Working closely with our experienced Protection Advisers, you will be the first point of contact for existing mortgage clients, introducing protection solutions and arranging appointments for personalised advice. This role offers a structured development programme designed to support your progression into a fully qualified Protection Adviser. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Contact existing mortgage clients to discuss the importance of financial protection, including Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover and Income Protection. 
• Build strong client relationships and clearly communicate the benefits of reviewing protection arrangements. 
• Qualify client needs and arrange appointments with Protection Advisers for detailed consultations. 
• Accurately maintain client records and update internal CRM systems. 
• Work closely with advisers to ensure a seamless client experience and smooth handover process. 
• Develop a strong understanding of protection products, suitability and client outcomes. 
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching and development activities to support progression towards a qualified advisory role. 
• Consistently work towards individual and team performance objectives.

About You

Previous sales experience is essential.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage clients professionally.
• A genuine interest in financial services and helping clients protect what matters most.
• Self-motivated, proactive and target-driven.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to build rapport quickly and manage client conversations effectively.
• A willingness to learn, develop new skills and work towards becoming a qualified Protection Adviser.
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
